For counselling and psychotherapy with Finding You
Confidentiality
Anything said in the counselling room stays there, with the rare exception of concern for your safety or someone else’s, which I would always aim to discuss with you first.
Clinical supervision
I have regular clinical supervision to ensure my practice stays at the highest standard and remains in your best interest.
Initial assessment session
Your first session lets us both assess whether I’m the right counsellor for you, charged at the standard rate below. If not the right fit, I can refer you elsewhere.
Costs
Individual counselling (50 minutes): £60. Couples counselling (60 minutes): £80.
Payment policy
Payment is taken at the end of each session, by cash or card, and secures your next appointment. Payments are non-refundable if you don’t attend.
Concessions
limited number of concessionary appointments are available before 5pm for those on a low or no income.
Counselling contract
Sessions are weekly, renegotiated as your counselling progresses.
Ending counselling
When you feel ready to end, we’ll agree together how to close the work therapeutically, which may take place over several sessions.
Cancellation policy
If you can’t attend, I’ll try to offer an alternative slot that week; otherwise the missed session is payable in full, except for agreed breaks and holidays.
Breaks in therapy
You’ll be given notice of any planned breaks, or if I need to cancel due to illness.
