Body & Breath Work in Bishop's Stortford

Breath and body work is a tool I use with some clients alongside talking therapy. It draws on my experience as a psychotherapist to support the whole person, not just the issue that brought them to counselling.

This gentle, body-based approach can help where purely verbal processing feels limited, bringing awareness back into the body as part of the therapeutic work.

How this fits alongside talking therapy

Not everything we carry can be fully reached through words alone. Body and breath work draws on simple, gentle techniques — grounding, breath awareness, noticing bodily sensation — used alongside our talking sessions, not instead of them. It can be particularly helpful for clients who feel “stuck in their head,” or who find that anxiety and stress show up as much in the body as in their thinking.

This isn’t a separate therapy or a formal modality with its own structure — it’s a tool I bring into our existing sessions where it seems genuinely useful for you, always at a pace you’re comfortable with.
