Individual Counselling in Bishop's Stortford
People come into individual counselling seeking support for a wide range of issues — anxiety, depression, abuse, grief, difficult relationships, gender identity, sexual identity, and low self-esteem, to name just a few.
Sessions last 50 minutes and take place in a confidential, non-judgemental space, whether in person at my Bishop’s Stortford practice or online. There’s no fixed length of time for counselling — we’ll agree together what feels right for you.
Who individual counselling can help
There’s no single “right” reason to start counselling. Some clients come with a clear, specific issue — a recent loss, a relationship that’s ended, panic attacks that have started appearing without warning. Others come with something less defined: a persistent low mood they can’t quite place, a sense of feeling stuck, or simply wanting space to think out loud with someone trained to listen.
I’ve supported clients through anxiety, depression, past abuse, grief, relationship difficulties, gender and sexual identity questions, and low self-esteem, among many other things — and I draw on experience working with adults facing an equally wide range of circumstances, including some of my earlier work supporting people with more severe and enduring mental health conditions.
